Shiv Sena will support jewellers, ready to hit the streets
Shiv Sena President has assured the jewellery traders that if required they will hit the streets to support them

The Shiv Sainiks have threatened the Centre, that they will now hit the streets to support the jewellery traders. They have asked the Government, why they cannot hold talks with the jewellers, if they can hold a series of conversations with Pakistan.

“The government at Centre is not functioning in the right manner. If we (the Centre) can talk to Pakistan, then why we cannot talk to jewellers’ associations,” Shiv Sena president was quoted by PTI as saying.

All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) executives had met Thackeray at Sena Bhavan, on Wednesday. After listening to their issues, Thackeray has assured them that if required, Shiv Sena will take it to the streets. The jewellers are on strike since March 2 and the closed shops have resulted in a huge loss on their part.

The panel, delegated for this issue will supposedly submit its report in two months. It will follow the procedure for the excise duty, maintain the records, fill the forms and take care of other relevant issues.
